home

bear witness
don't run away
no matter

come november
sit under a tree
watch the bullet hit the head
of a deer
will it thrash?

the majority rules
never mind
we'll see

be still
let pain enter
be a blueberry field
burned clear to the ground
that next year will bear
bluer berries

the water
is not a job
it's home
there's no other place

once tasted
we can't say no

on the beach this day in august
hundreds of fifty cent sized jellyfish
have come in
like circles under a microscope
suddenly stopped

thick fog day after day
transports us
to some expanded state

nameless
we call seals
in a singsong voice

love beckons
with a single finger
come hither
come hither
