for poe

afteryou leave
the sky becomes a deeper blue
i lay my cheek against
a rock of crystals
in late afternoon sun

love

not manufactured
yet
opened to
the blessed gift

this morning
alone

crows cawing
glitter of light
across ocean water at the bluffs

cold again

as i enter
the path through the field
the right wing of a large dark bird
on the whiteness of snow
one feather  shining irridescent purple

patience

allow the seed to be planted
breathe lightly
as it grows
